HTC Flyer & Motorola Xoom Specs: Your Smart Choice

The new HTC Flyer tablet has been announced and it is HTC’s first tablet PC that is going up against the likes of the Apple iPad 2, the BlackBerry PlayBook and of course the Motorola Xoom.

Let’s compare just for today the specs comparisons between the HTC Flyer and the Motorola Xoom and see what your smart choice will be.

The HTC Flyer has the technology to use both touch and pen interaction and will also feature the newly announced HTC Watch that allows users to connect to a video service that will debut on the Flyer Tablet.

The Motorola Xoom will run on the new Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb operating system the HTC Flyer will run on Android 2.4, which is NOT Honeycomb according to Gotta Be Mobile. The Xoom will features a 10.1-inch 1280X800 gorilla touch screen display whereas the Flyer only gives you a 7-inch touch-sensitive TFT screen with 1024 X 600 resolution.

The Other Main HTC Flyer Specs Include: 1.5GHz Processor, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, Micro-USB 2.0, 32 GB RAM, 1 GB Micro SD memory card extension, Android with HTC Sense, 5-megapixel camera plus a front facing camera of 1.3 megapixel front camera, the rear camera has auto focus.

The HTC Flyer also features aac, .amr, .ogg, .m4a, .mid, .mp3, .wav, .wma (Windows Media Audio 9) Recording: .amr, .aac and 3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv (Windows Media Video 9), .avi (MP4 ASP and MP3), .xvid (MP4 ASP and MP3). 195.4 x 122 x 13.2 mm and weighs 415 grams with battery, Internal GPS antenna, Ambient light sensor G-Sensor Digital compass Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900.

The Motorola zoom Specs Include: 1Ghz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 32 GB internal storage, 1080p video and HDMI output, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 720p Video capture, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, Gyroscope, Accelerometer, e-compass and barometer, plus 3G and Wifi connectivity, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm Audio Jack and USB 2.0.
