Formerly seen only in renders, RIM’s unannounced BlackBerry Bold Touch has appeared in some live photos a few days ago.
Codenamed Montana (the CDMA version) or Dakota (the GSM version), the new smartphone will be the first Bold to feature a touchscreen display – 2.8 inch, 640 x 480 pixels. Handset looks like a slimmer and better designed Bold 9000 and, apparently, it has a carbon fibber battery door on the back.
According to N4BB, the BlackBerry Bold Touch features NFC, magnetometer, accelerometer, 5MP camera, 6.5BG of available storage space, and 512MB of RAM (not 768MB as rumoured before). RIM could launch the Bold Touch in August, most probably in the US first. I’m pretty sure this will be one of the company’s best-selling handset in 2011, especially since it’s bound to be released via most major North American carriers.
