Recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Mini has gotten chosen up by T-Mobile for the US market, alongside another affordable Android smartphone which will be sold under the name T-Mobile Move.
Samsung Galaxy Mini has a 3.2-inch Touch-Screen, a 600 MHz processor, 3G, Wi-Fi, about 150 MB of user-accessible internal memory (expandable up to 32 GB via a MicroSD card slot), and all the other usual bells and whistles.
Galaxy Mini runs Android 2.2 Froyo. If you’re interested in this device, make sure you check out Florin’s hands-on video from Mobile World Congress 2011. Whereas the T-Mobile has a smaller, 2.8-inch QVGA (240 x 320) Touch-Screen, a 2MP camera, HSDPA support (7.2 Mbps download), also powered by a 600 MHz processor, 150 MB of internal memory, and a MicroSD card slot (a 2 GB card will be included in the sales package).
Like the Samsung Galaxy Mini, the T-Mobile Move will run Android 2.2 Froyo. Both phones should be very cheap, and T-Mobile has even said that the Move will be the most affordable Android smartphone in their portfolio. And while there are no details about actual pricing yet, expect the Move to be free or at most $50, and the Galaxy Mini somewhere in the $29-$75 range. All prices with new two-year contract the norm in the US market. As for when they will become available, stay tuned. We’ll let you know as soon as we find out.
