With the advent of Android, iPhone isn’t the only charming smartphone around but it still generates a lot of interest to the gadget crazy individuals. The world now awaits the next generation iPhone (not the rumored iPhone nano) which will be dubbed the iPhone 5. There are no clear details available about the next generation iPhone but the insiders have started to spoil the part for Apple, it seems.
AMOLED-in the works
The component suppliers have revealed that the next generation iPhone will sport a 4-inch plus screen size in an attempt to compete fiercely in the tablet market where Apple just sells the 9.7-inch iPad. You might not want to consider a 4-inch plus screen size supporting iPhone as a tablet but with Dell Streak dubbing its 5-inch variant as a ‘ super phone’ the gap between the smartphones and the tablets is getting closer by the day.
Apple is also wanting to compete with the high-end Android devices most of which support large screen sizes that either belong to the AMOLED or TFT (touch enabled) category. Other than the screen-size revelation, what is also being touted is that the iPhone 5 will hit the market in June, 2011.
