Kyocera Echo Smartphone Sprint Price, Specs & Pre-Register

Surely the Apple iPhone could have a real competitor at last if the new Kyocera Echo two-screen Android smartphone has anything to do with it. Anyway, we will give you a few details about specs, price, features and of course a few images thrown in as well.

Before we start going into the details we would like to let you know you can pre-register your interest and where to buy via Echo by Kyocera website.

One display screen is good, but a two-screen handset is much better would you not agree? The new upcoming Kyocera Echo on Sprint has two 3.5-inch touchscreens and will cost $199.99 (after a rebate and signing up for a two-year contract) according to Techno Log.

Main Specs Include: Android 2.2, 3G data speeds (EVDO Rev A.) with peak download speeds of 3.1 mbps; peak upload speeds of 1.8 Mbps: average download speeds between 600 kbps and 1.4 Mbps, 8GB microSD included but can support up to 32GB cards, Full HTML Web browser supporting Flash 10.1, Access to Telenav GPS Navigator and Sprint TV, this smartphone also comes with Corporate (Exchange ActiveSync) and personal (POP & IMAP) email, Media player with 3.5 mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Hearing Aid Compatibility Rating (HAC): M4/T4, accelerometer, proximity sensor, digital compass, GPS and light sensor.

The handset will be running on 3G network when released, so please do not get your hopes up that it will be running on the new 4G network, now that will be a little disappointing for some users who have fallen in love with this device.

A total of 4.7-inches is the size when the two screens are open and used as one, as for the release date this is not known as of yet but Kyocera Echo exclusively from Sprint will release somewhere within Spring time.

The Echo will feature a 5-megapixel camera (NO front facing camera, sorry), 6.8 ounces in weight, Single-Screen Mode, Simul-Task Mode for use of two screens, Optimized Mode with both displays supporting a single, optimized app with complementary functionality and enhanced usability and the cool Tablet Mode with one application spread across both displays for a full 4.7-inch viewing area.
If you wish to purchase the Kyocera Echo dual-screen smartphone you must be aware that it requires Sprint’s Everything Data plan, starting at $69.99 a month, plus a monthly $10 Premium Data add-on.
