iPhone 5 A8 SoC Processor & PowerVR SGX543 Graphics

Would the new iPhone 5 battery life suffer if it gained the A8 SoC Processor & PowerVR SGX543 graphics? These are the two features that could possibly make its way onto the future Apple smartphone.

Apparently and according to a few sources the new Apple iPhone 5 may come with A8 SoC Processor & PowerVR SGX543 graphics, we already know that Apple unveiled the A4 System-on-Chip processor that is inside the iPad and that this chip is inside the iPhone 4 and now according to Apple Daily the Hong Kong based newspaper the next generation iPhone is being worked on by Apple who have contacted a few Taiwan-based suppliers for the components.

The A4 chip was clocked at 1Ghz consists of an ARM Cortex A8 processor core and PowerVR SGX535 graphics crammed on a single die of silicon, Apple is now working on the ARM architecture based A8 System-on-Chip for the iPhone 5 and other devices.

We cannot find any details covering the A8 application processor but according to TechTree the A8 SoC chip would consist of a dual-core processor that will also be packed with PowerVR SGX543 graphics on same silicon.

MacRumors found some very interesting information found from the new iOS 4.3 and mentioned that future Apple devices will have PowerVR SGX543 graphics, the Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard uses OpenCL and apparently the next-gen smartphone will have PowerVR SGX543 supports dual-core processors as well as OpenCL.

A dual-core processor iPhone is the way to go, do you think this is correct or do have better ideas of what the new iPhone 5 should have?

If the above features were to be found on the iPhone 5 do you think that the battery life would suffer? Surely if the above was to happen Apple will have a new upgraded battery to handle the power.
