iPhone 5 Probably not to be LTE Compatible, But iPhone 6 Might

Well it is pretty much given that iPhone 5 will be launched later this year. Bearing in mind Apple’s technology, it’s also a given that an LTE based iPhone will NOT launch this year.

It’s still good to know that Apple has began looking into it: China Mobile Ltd, the world’s largest mobile carrier by subscribers, said on Friday that Apple Inc Chief Executive Steve Jobs has expressed interest in developing an iPhone based on the Chinese carrier’s network standard.

China Mobile is developing its next-generation TD-LTE mobile network technology and there have been talks over a possible iPhone tie-up with the carrier. However the above quotes are from a Reuters report offering some sort of confirmation as to where Apple is planning to take its super successful phone in the future.

Perhaps a lot of carriers and devices are preparing for LTE compatibility. But many believe that Apple is not quite there yet and most likely will skip LTE compatibility as a whole.
