We have just seen the countdown timer from the Nokia Sweden site taken off, and now, here comes, an even, worse news. The N9 may be coming out in European and other Asian countries, but not in the United States of America. This information is being confirmed from sources in Espoo, Finland, while nailing out some details if there would be any solid US ship dates of the first, and probably the last, MeeGo OS ever to hit the Nokia phones.
It has been mentioned on the report that the Harmattan handler “At this time we will not be making it available in the US”. The reason, well, according to them, is due to decisions being affected by customer share and level of interest on the overall existing product portfolio of the company. Nokia supposedly thinks that US customers are more interested in Android brands or the iPhone, not considering the number of citizens in the US that are warmly welcoming the device through blogs, phone news, and even in YouTube. Just be hopeful, coz they mentioned “At this time…”
