After disclosing information that Nokia is on a slump due to the decreasing number of demands for operating system Symbian, overtaken by Android and iOS, the company has never stopped declining in sales and profit generation. In fact, due to the distorted issues on supply and demand, their plans of having Windows as the main OS for later smartphone units would also be on hold because of the negative domino effect experienced by the Finland based mobile group.
The latest sign of Nokia’s gradual downfall is the closing of their various online shops worldwide, UK being one of the biggest, which may prove to be a desperate move in managing finances. Even though Nokia has mentioned that the strategy has been done since most UK customers come directly to stores for purchases, some people would not bite the excuse, knowing that the marketing trend is on a gradual down. It may be regarded as a strategical marketing facelift or a way to hide the incoming failure. It is up to you to decide.
