Acquisitive reseller sets immediate target of recruiting 100 staff in the next six months as work on new premises nears completion
Daisy Group is to expand its Nelson base in Lancashire with the opening of a new premises, making room for 700 new jobs.
Redevelopment work is nearing completion on the former Rostron’s building, adjacent to Daisy’s current premises on Lomeshaye Industrial Estate. The company will look to ramp up its recruitment drive with 100 jobs earmarked for within the next six months.
The Group currently houses more than 400 employees at its head office in Nelson and said with the recent move of 90 people from the 27.3 million acquisition of service provider SpiriTel in Wigan last November, the current premises are full to capacity.
As it starts to fill the new roles that have been created, the company is hosting a recruitment day at its headquarters in Lindred Road in Nelson on July 14.
Daisy Group COO Gareth Kirkwood (pictured) said: “The fact that our headquarters in Nelson are now full to capacity demonstrates the level of growth the company has achieved since we moved to Daisy House with less than 100 staff in 2005.
“While many businesses are currently feeling economic strain, Daisy is going from strength to strength and is looking forward to investing more time and money into growing the business even further in terms of both staff and customers. In order to accommodate this growth we recognise the importance of investing in our systems and facilities.”
