IVONA Software, an award winning developer and provider of Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology, today announced the availability of new mobile applications for Android featuring highly accurate and natural voices. The IVONA Text-to-Speech voice apps allow Android device users to opt to hear IVONA voices within applications that use text-to-speech functionality. IVONA launched its first mobile voice app last month in American English. Now users can also access IVONA mobile apps for UK English, Spanish, Polish, German and French voices. All IVONA Text-to-Speech voices are free until September 15.

IVONA was recently confirmed in a recent industry study by ASR News to be the most accurate TTS engine, meaning that users of the Android devices will enjoy a higher quality, more human-like sounding voice. When using apps such as those that read out e-books or driving directions, users will be able to understand the voices perfectly, as they will sound as if an actual human was speaking the words. IVONA outranked competitors such as Microsoft, Nuance, SVOX and AT&T in a head-to-head comparison testing TTS accuracy.
