A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street
CARPHONE
There’s 50 off the BlackBerry Torch 9800 at Carphone Warehouse on prepay, with it now costing 399.95. Alternatively, it’s available for free on a 25 a month contract that comes with 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of web allowance. The HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S are available for 20 a month on a Vodafone deal, with the same amount of minutes and texts, but with 250MB of web allowance. Also, 100 has been knocked off the Samsung Galaxy Apollo and Sony Ericsson X10 mini on prepay, which now cost 79.95 and 99.95 respectively.
PHONES 4U
As at Carphone Warehouse, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is available for 25 a month at Phones 4U on a Vodafone Your Plan BlackBerry tariff, which comes with 500 minutes, 3,000 texts, 500MB of data and BlackBerry email. It also comes with a free BlackBerry movie voucher that enables the user to download two full-length films. The HTC Desire HD is also available for 25 a month on a Vodafone plan that comes with 300 minutes, 3,000 texts and three months of free line rental (75 by redemption).
O2
Customers buying the Samsung Galaxy Ace in black and the Samsung Galaxy Mini in black and white will be entered into a prize draw to win tickets to Take That’s Progress Live Tour 2011. The Sony Ericsson X8 is also on offer. It’s available for 15.32 a month with 50 minutes and unlimited texts, as well as costing 129.99 on prepay.
VODAFONE
Until March 31, Vodafone’s Business Essentials price plan comes with double UK minutes to mobiles and 3,000 extra standard UK texts on top of the usual 250 texts the user automatically receives.
ORANGE
There are unlimited texts on all Canary SIM-only plans, which range from 10.21 to 30.64 a month. The same allowance is also available on the Camel 20 SIMonly plan, which costs 20.42 a month and comes with an additional 100 international minutes.
T-MOBILE
The Nokia C5-03 is being heavily pushed at 15.32 a month, coming with 300 minutes, 300 texts and a ‘flexible booster’. The HTC Wildfire is available for 149.99 on prepay with a 10 top-up required; it also includes six months’ free internet and 100 free UK anytime minutes.
THREE
Customers can pick up the HTC Wildfire for free on a Text 500 tariff that costs 20 a month, which comes with 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and 1GB of internet. The Samsung Galaxy S is also available for 32 a month on the network’s ‘One Plan’, which comes with a monthly allowance of 2,000 minutes, 5,000 Three-to-Three minutes and 5,000 texts.
GO MOBILE
The Motorola Defy is available for free on a T-Mobile contract for 20.42 a month, which comes with 300 minutes, 300 texts and unlimited web access. The Nokia 6303i can also be picked up for free on a T-Mobile deal costing 15.32 a month, with 100 minutes, 100 texts and a ‘flexible booster’.
