AT&T has announced its first prepaid Android smartphone since the heady days of the N78 on Go Phone in the LG Thrive. The Thrive is AT&T’s variant of the LG Optimus with a 3.2-inch touch display, run Android 2.2 Froyo, and include a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. Other features include 3G at 7.2Mbps, a 600MHz processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and support for microSD cards up to 32GB. The LG Thrive will cost $179.99 and requires a GoPhone smartphone data package. The Phoenix will cost $49.99 and requires a two-year agreement.
