Qualcomm Announces New Slate of Chipsets

QualcommFollowing up on the Snapdragon announcements, Qualcomm has announced its newest slate of radio chipsets in the Gobi3000, MDM9625, MDM9225, MDM9625, MDM9225, MDM9615, MDM8215 and MDM8225. The Gobi3000 is currently shipping to manufacturers with single-mode and multi-mode versions. It’s expected to be available in devices from Huawei, Novatel Wireless, Option, Sierra Wireless and ZTE in the near future with updates to its API for enterprise application development.

The MDM9625 and MDM9225 are designed to support LTE speeds up to 150Mbps and fabricated using the 28nm process and are backwards compatible with previous generations of LTE and other standards. These are being launched alongside the MDM9615 and MDM8215, which are  designed to support multi-mode LTE and dual-carrier HSPA+. The MDM8225 supports HSPA+ Release 9, which will support 84Mbps download speeds.
