Appoxee Raises Funding, Helps Mobile App Developers Boost User Engagement

Israeli startup Appoxee has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from early-stage investment firm Cyhawk Ventures.

The company offers a service that helps app developers and publishers increase user engagement through rich push notifications and helps them with things like audience segmentation, targeting, analytics and reporting.

Today, Appoxee is also opening the gates for new accounts (which are free of charge) for the first time. The company claims that, while in closed beta, they already served “hundreds of developers” with the delivery of “hundreds of millions” of push notifications.

Appoxee says it will use the fresh capital to boost development of the next version of its mobile user relationship management suite, as well as international sales and marketing efforts.

The startup, which was founded in 2010, is led by CEO Itay Levy, who previously worked for Nielsen Online and later ran SpiceApp.com.
