First In-Flight Calling Finally Launched by Air France

After years to fix dates and to push back them, OnAir has its first
bird in top. The service by satellite of mobilophone and data is
installed in a mode of test on an Airbus 318 (equipped for the goal
with the factory) had by Air France. The plane was received in spring,
but the permissions necessary took longer to fix. The service is
limited to the text messaging and the mobile email for first half of
the six months test. In three months, the service of voice will be
allowed, but according to interviews' I_ve leads above the last years,
the part of voice could be summarily invalidated during the flights or
for the remainder of the test according to the reception. Calls can be
made only above 10.000 feet (3,000m). OnAir indicated that they have
layouts with several company_s of carriers_the of cells which the
service is like its own carrier of cells in the orange air_including,
Télécommunication of Bouyges, and SFR. It is estimated that the cost
is _ comparable _ to be called international, and is about USS2.50 per
minute in states and interviews precedents. I do you always recall a
voyage via rail at high speed which I took in France in 2000 when,
when a French-speaking person spoke (quietly) with his telephone about
cells in the first class compartment the main thing, somebody walked
until him and said, in French, why speak you here? Why do you disturb
each one? Do you think the you_re an American? The man protested
slightly, and then rose to make his calls starting from the hearth
included of the car. I have my doubts approximately if to call in
flight could be external truly acceptable certain companies in which
this kind of space deprived in the public isn_t of circumstances
simply recognized.
